Accessibility Statement

Last updated: March 2026

Our Commitment

SIXFOURFOUR is committed to digital accessibility.

We believe that great design should be accessible to everyone. We are actively working to ensure our website, sixfourfour.com, meets WCAG 2.1 Level AA accessibility standards and is usable by people of all abilities.

01

Conformance Status

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including those with visual, auditory, motor, or cognitive impairments.

SIXFOURFOUR is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We are in the process of addressing areas where our site does not yet meet full compliance, and we welcome feedback to help us improve.

"Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are actively auditing and remediating these areas.

02

Accessibility Features

The following accessibility features are implemented or in progress on our site:

Semantic HTML

Pages use proper heading hierarchy (H1–H4), landmark regions, and semantic elements to support screen readers.

Keyboard Navigation

All interactive elements (buttons, links, forms) are reachable and operable via keyboard alone.

Color Contrast

Text and interactive elements maintain a minimum 4.5:1 contrast ratio against their backgrounds.

Alt Text

All meaningful images include descriptive alt text. Decorative images use empty alt attributes.

Focus Indicators

Visible focus styles are maintained for all interactive elements to aid keyboard and switch users.

Responsive Design

The site is fully responsive and functions correctly at text sizes up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.

Link Context

Links are descriptive and provide context about their destination without relying on surrounding text alone.

Form Labels

All form fields include associated labels and error messages to assist screen reader users.

03

Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, we are aware of the following areas that may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. We are actively working to address these:

In Progress

Embedded third-party forms (Tally): Our project intake form is powered by Tally. While Tally supports standard form accessibility patterns, we cannot guarantee full WCAG compliance of their embedded iframes. We are monitoring Tally's accessibility roadmap.

In Progress

Animation and motion: Some sections of the site use scroll-triggered animations. We are implementing a prefers-reduced-motion media query to disable animations for users who prefer reduced motion.

Monitoring

Video content: If video content is added in the future, we will ensure captions and transcripts are provided in accordance with WCAG 1.2.

04

Assistive Technologies Supported

Our website is designed and tested to work with the following assistive technologies:

  • Screen readers: VoiceOver (macOS/iOS), NVDA (Windows), JAWS (Windows)
  • Keyboard navigation: All modern browsers using Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, Space, and arrow keys
  • Browser zoom: Content remains functional and readable at up to 200% zoom
  • High contrast mode: Content remains legible in Windows High Contrast Mode

05

Our Ongoing Commitment

Accessibility is not a one-time effort — it's an ongoing commitment. As we continue to build and improve our website, accessibility will remain a core consideration in every design and development decision we make.

We conduct accessibility reviews when making significant updates to the site, and we incorporate accessibility testing into our standard design workflow for all client projects.
